Shouldn’t the notice come from the DC Office of the Attorney General, and direct the Police Chief to follow the law?

Why? The DC Police Chief has a pen and a phone, too -- just like Obama.

Chief Lanier was the one served with the Court injunction not to enforce the unconstitutional (as ruled by the court) gun laws.

D.C. may ask for a stay; but remember, the House just voted to defund enforcement of the D.C. gun laws.
