The United States on Sunday released satellite images to bolster its claim that Russian artillery has fired across the border into Ukraine, targeting government forces in support of separatist rebels.
The four images, prepared by the office of the Director of National Intelligence and forwarded to reporters by the State Department, show sections of the Russia-Ukraine frontier.
Two show what the US government alleges are Russian batteries on its own territory -- one group of multiple rocket launchers and another of self-propelled howitzers.
Pictures also show impact craters near military positions on the Ukrainian side of the frontier.
A third picture shows what Washington alleges is Russian-supplied heavy weaponry being fired by separatists from within Ukraine.
"The wide area of impacts near the Ukrainian military units indicates fire from multiple rocket launchers. The bottom impact crater inset shows impacts within a local village," the caption said.
Moscow denies directly intervening in the Ukraine conflict and has accused Washington of mounting a smear campaign against it.
Washington turned up the pressure Thursday, alleging Russia had fired across the border and planned to deliver "heavier and more powerful multiple rocket launchers" to its rebel allies.
Then, the State Department cited only "intelligence information" to back up its claim before releasing the photographs on Sunday to strengthen its case.
Ukraine also claims two of its fighter jets were downed by missiles fired from Russian territory, but its US ally has yet to confirm this.
Fears of the damage that Russian arms could do in the hands of Ukraine's separatists increased sharply after a civilian Malaysian airliner was shot down over rebel territory with the loss of 298 lives.

Australia announced they would be sending their people to the crash site “ARMED” though understandable why they think they should that's not going to go over well at all, the people living close to the crash are going through some major trauma having seen bodies in groups fall from the sky as well as firey pieces of the aircraft landing in their homes, yards and houses. More times than not the bodies were naked as the blast blew their clothes off or burned off....
That is one of the reasons the mayors in those communities attempted to gather up the bodies...the public is just a mess psychologically...not to mention Kiev cut off all pensions etc. so these people, who were struggling before this conflict...had this event to contend with on top of everything else. Most of those villages are far removed from the cities....country people who live very simple lives.....so this conflict and the crash has more than devastated them. BTW....The mayors of those villages could not contact anyone , nor did anyone attempt to contact them concerning what to do with the bodies....the people were tramitized from the crash...but then seeing bodies in their homes etc....they began the mayors had no choice but to gather up what they could to calm the people down.
As mentioned before...these events happening in Ukraine are far more significant then what is being presented to the public, and the players are playing on a board that is dangerous and highly volatile........”Official” Information needs to be official no matter which side puts it out....I don't see it yet regarding this satellite photo.
If you recall Russia's photo's were explained in detail by their Military personal, and then sent to all nation leaders.......and 'declared' their "official Assessment" up to that time......
..... So was this photo now circulating something someone manufactured and just sent it rolling on social Internet sites....or is it Official" business from the State Dept???? That needs to be confirmed.
Well, remember the video of the conversation supposedly between the rebels ...that was clearly debunked and shown to be spliced together.....gotta love the professionals who can zero in and determine what is what.

Low and behold dear friend....there's ‘NOTHING’ there relating to this photo or the photo itself....nor any press releases or comments from the state dept. at this time.
So now you check their site....perhaps you can find something which would at least signify the state dept had anything to do with it.

Throw something out there to feed or support a meme, and hope the low-infos /media pick it up and run with it. By the time it gets debunked, it has become the “accepted” truth.

No doubt in my mind he knows it’s out there.....it couldn’t have gone this long without a denial...looks like he’s going to let it run regardless.....but the State Dept. isn’t saying a word on this thus far...which tells me somethings way off about this satellite photo.
Obamas playing tricks...while dang it Russia puts their “Official” assessment out there with the evidence they have....regardless if it’s true or not..or we like it or not...it is “Official.”
The low-infos will always believe anything....I listen to a woman speak today and no matter which angle she took to somehow excuse her savior Obama...it wasn’t working. You could hear the frustration in her voice that this just couldn’t be possible her hero would let she and her people down this way.

No...that is not what I said, and why you get confused so much.
I want to see/know that it’s an “Official” photo from the state dept...’from them’..... or is someone just saying it’s been released from the state dept....BECAUSE...that is not how the state dept does things on something this important....nor is the photo to their standards, it’s sloppy.
Further they’re saying nothing about it...not confirming nor denying.....which is usually done.
