It means that, as a leader, Perry isn’t going where most conservatives want to go.
The Gardisil fiasco does show that he can be beaten into submission. That raises the question, who can beat him into submission first, conservatives, or liberals?

“It’s my way or the highway” is a lonely road for puritans looking for perfection. Good luck with that.
I remember even Ronald Reagan wasn’t perfect but he was pretty darn good. I am a Ted Cruz supporter but you will probably find something wrong with him too.

If you call looking for perfection rejecting a left wing Republican, yes, I’m on that train.
We had one of those in CO not too long ago, and see where he led us?

I prefer to look at things from a different angle. The puritans stayed home the last 2 president elections and did not soil their hands and look what it got us. I did not like McCain and Romney but I would take them over what we got. What we got is an unmitigated disaster and I am afraid we won’t recover from it. Thank you very much.

Romney didn't even match his party platform, unless the republican platform includes abortion on demand, amnesty, socialized medicine, and gun control.
You can call that puritan, but just matching the party platform should be a basic qualifying requirement.

Applies only at the federal level. So the "National" in National Guard means...?

Only when they are federalized. Otherwise they are controlled by the States.
It requires an order from the President to federalize national guard.

Will they have loaded weapons or empty one?

That, of course, is expected from the lawyers in DC.
Until he does that, they are controlled by the state.

I don’t know how we ended up with Romney. A couple of states get to pick our nominee, something needs to change. Texas gets no consideration in the choice of the nominee, that is just wrong.

It's what the liberal GOP-E wants. That and open primaries. They will fight you if you try to close the primaries or change the nomination process. They like liberal states selecting their candidate.
That's why I'm a conservative, and not a republican.
