For the second time in eight days, a South Florida circuit judge has declared the state's gay marriage ban unconstitutional and ordered that same-sex couples be allowed to marry.

The Fox tv station just reported two lesbians were going to have a “more perfect union” in the near future....the media trying to be a voice of moral authority.

The state constitution EXPLICITLY defines marriage...so the judge is OUT OF LINE trying to override the constitution.
This is an abrogation of the rule of law, and making the land a “rule of men”....something that will destroy society.
The state may recognize abomination, but I don’t, nor do I have to according to the Constitution.

How can there be a ban on something that cannot exist?
Maybe lawmakers and the public should phrase this differently, in a way to force these judges to define exactly what they mean when they say “gay marriage.” How can a license be issued to engage in something that does not exist, when no one even knows what it is?

I think the gov’t needs to get out of marriage period. No more taxing it, no more licensing it. Unfortunately, it will let the gays marry but I don’t want to see these judges forcing churches to marry in the future. It’s coming and if they gov’t doesn’t get out of marriage it will happen.

Because to the state in the modern era, marriage is simply whatever judges, pols, or the voting majority thinks it is at any one time. That’s all it ever was or can be to the state, it only worked as long as it did because there were sane people deciding the state’s definition of marriage. For many the first impossibility was civil divorce and remarriage, then for many more easy and repeated civil divorce and remarriage, and now finally ‘gay marriage.’
