So I presume that this gal and Elijah Cummings would say that the executive branch has no business spying on the Congressional coat room and any other spying that the executive office may be doing on the other branches of government?

If they claim “national security” as the reason for executive branch spying and usurpation of Constitutional freedoms, then they should be aware that the Constitution gives the responsibility of national security to CONGRESS, not to the executive branch. So if ANYBODY could justifiably be spying on anybody else, it would be at the direction of CONGRESS, not the POTUS.
