Abominable, disgusting, a total travesty.

And where is Barack Soebarkah? FUNDRAISING?! I HATE this usurper!!!!!! He is undoubtedly the most feckless world leader in the history of humankind. Neville Chamberlain X 100000

Only Scum of the earth would do this.

Well, they know the Iraqis are too timid to take back their country, the American regime is busy with its collective head up its ass, and Europe is typically paralyzed in its own apathy.

Thus, ISIS can act with total impunity.

"I also underscored the point that, in the absence of political movement [towards 'a government that is inclusive and representative of all Iraqis'], any support the U.S. Government might consider providing could have only limited, short-term effects," [CENTCOMCINC] Austin said in a statement.

Well, by the time the long term rolls around, all the Christians will be dead and everything Holy will be blown to smithereens. Sometimes you have to fight the fire before you worry about installing sprinkler systems.

And you can be damned sure ISIS isn't worried about inclusiveness.

Well, the tomb was apparently built on top of some Assyrian ruins; and archaeologists could never dig at the site because the mosque was there. Now that is (or will be) changed.

And—hence—maybe some real info about Jonah might turn up.

The mid-eastern klansmen’s jihad advances relentlessly. Paleo-nazis cleansing their lands. History unfolding and evidences of an alternative ideology wiped out forever.

That did not look like an ancient building to me. It had a tower that looked like a Islamic Minaret which hardly could be ancient. I betting it was a Shiite Mosque

Jonah stayed in Nineveh? I thought he hated the place.

Still more demonic behavior from Moslems.

Freep rules forbid me from saying what to do about it.

QUESTION: How certain are we that this is indeed Jonah’s tomb?

I didn’t know that Jonah eventually lived in Babylon...

Blowing up Jonah’s tomb seems a little girly to me. Blowing up a shrine doesn’t take much skill. I can live with it, because there is the empty tomb. That’s what I believe and their cowardly attacks can’t change that one. As usual, they fight and attack those whom do not fight back, they hide in women’s burkas and do evil. Call me, unimpressed.

It appears it was just a mosque anyway. These guys are hell bent on destroying anything of ancient value, but as long as it was a mosque I’m ok with it.
