Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Tony Dungy told the Tampa Tribune that he would NOT have drafted Michael Sam if he were still coaching.
I wouldnt have taken him, said former Bucs and Colts coach Tony Dungy, now an analyst for NBC. Not because I dont believe Michael Sam should have a chance to play, but I wouldnt want to deal with all of it. Its not going to be totally smooth things will happen.
What are your thoughts on Coach Dungys statements???
FReeped. Said NO. NO is winning.
“What are your thoughts on Coach Dungys statements???”
he need to learn to stop telling the truth. The thought police will now order him crucified.
NO = 70.44%
YES = 29.56%
He has the right to say whatever he thinks.
Fearless he is, the Politically Correct Crowd will go after him for admitting the truth of the situation!
Seventh round draft pick with publicity issues... why bother? Aren’t there other seventh-rounders, or undrafted at-camp candidates to work with? I agree with Tony—you’re trying to focus the team as your primary goal, not run a primarily PC-compliant road show.
78.8% agree with me and voted NO
The man was only telling the truth. As a coach you don’t need other issues interfering with your main job which is to win football games.
Hell No!!! He is interested in football...not babysitting!!
Nope.
1. Yes
2. No
3. Hell no homos!
Tony Dungy is an honorable man. I hope he doesn’t backtrack.
No, not out of line. Why did Sam bring up his problem? Publicity and to cover his incompetence.
NO is now over 80%
They were “out of line” because they were true.
Either Sam or his mentors are fairly smart.
Without the “gay” angle he’s probably coaching hs football or selling insurance now.
A year or two in the NFL (I can’t imagine they’d cut him first year) will bring in 400 grand plus/ yr.
The 1.6% who choose a deviant lifestyle are not happy....
the only “out of line” part was when he went back and “clarified” - there was nothing at all wrong with his original comments. BTW, Stephen A Smith has been defending his original comments all day on ESPN and slamming the PC police. Refreshing Stephen A has his moments.
he already has, to a point. Sad.
