when I started to write Clinton, Inc: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine, I knew the reaction to expect. I was well aware that the former (and perhaps future) first family and its massive retinue of loyalty enforcers, professional defamers and assorted gadflies would rue my intent to examine the real Clintonsespecially in my search for the real Chelsea Clinton, who until now has been a media-protected nonperson despite her aggressive public activities on her familys behalf and despite raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars from her role as former first daughter.
MSNBCs David Shuster learned this the hard way when he was suspended from the network for saying, But doesnt it seem like Chelseas sort of being pimped out in some weird sort of way? in a live TV hit on how the former first daughter was being used by her mothers 2008 campaign. The Clintons hit the roof over the single relatively banal comment, as I report in my book, and lobbied the head of parent company GE to get Shuster off the air.
I also had a feeling that some of the sources I spoke to, for and not-for attribution, including alleged Clinton mistresses whove stayed out of the press and remain loyal to Bill, would alert the Clintons to what I was doing and help them prepare a counterattack.
But even if I hadnt known it, many, many people in Washington, on the left and right, popped up to warn me of what to expect from the Clinton PR team. Other authorslegitimate ones with serious pedigreeswhod written about the Clintons said they were threatened and verbally attacked. Of course, nearly everyone in Washington has seen the much-vaunted Clinton PR machine in action. Its very predictable. Heres how it works:

Just make sure you stay out of Fort Marcy Park.
The only thing that didn’t ring true in this article was when the author described Hillary as “intensely likeable.”

It actually comes across that way. It must be Bill's mind control.

Now we know that it isn’t a good thing to use the word “Pimp” and “Clinton” in the same sentence...
Like they say....”flak seems to get heaviest right over the target”.
I’m looking forward to a close up pix of “the Energizer.”
Consider yourself lucky if you live through this, Mr. Halper.
I despise the Clintons as much as the next guy but if I don't think that's a banal comment at all. If the networks left their slime buckets at home they might actually have to report on a Republican proposal or two sometimes.
RE: Consider yourself lucky if you live through this, Mr. Halper.
Well.... Ed Klein is still alive.
... so far, it's early yet.
I predict that the new 1000 lb. gorilla will be Martin O’Malley. He will become the next Democrat nominee, IMO. Bob
Right. We’re still in the first quarter.
This is pure Stalinism. The Clintons learned their lessons well.

This New Yorker predicts Andrew Cuomo for 2016...
unbelievably my family has also had our lives personally impacted by the Clinton machine...when she was a senator.
thankfully we are now out of the situation that allowed Hllary to influence our family. Crazy stuff, but they take care of their own.
>>While I was still reporting on my book, James Carvilles office called, seemingly out of the blue, to grill me on whom Id already spoken to. I obviously refused to indulge the questioner.<<
That when he should have rep-lied with names such as Chuck Schumer, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, .................
I talked to a retired Arkansas State Trooper and asked him about the Clinton murders. His exact words were “Everything you’ve ever heard about Bill Clinton is true.”
Given his open war on guns, The only state west of NY and south of N.J. that Cuomo would carry is California.
