If we choose not to defend our borders, why do we have a standing military and navy? Neither political party wishes to stop the invasion. Why then spend $500 billion per year on defense?

Exactly. DEFUND/DISMANTLE "defense" and all alphabet agencies. DEFUND/DOWNSIZE legislatures state and federal to part time jobs with no perks, no healthcare, no retirement, volunteer staff and 1/10th pay. Citizen militias can patrol the border. Stop the invasion and send the BIG GOVERNMENT socialists packing.
