Thanks for the ping, Ma.

This morning a new report, kinda heart tugging. I was on the porch this morning enjoying the milder weather. I have been watching birds as you are aware.

My eyes rested upon a fledgling House Finch on the ground. That little one made it’s way across the large lawn to the truck route in front of the house. It walked across the pavement, at times having to use his wings for stabilizing his journey. Can you believe the rascal stopped on the yellow line and was missed by a huge semi truck!

Well, I was so into watching the wandering that one that I missed the one right under my nose so to speak.

Now this one I watch for nearly an hour, however I do believe this little one was injured while hitting the large flat stone he landed on. He would try so hard to walk and managed to go a few feet to settle into the grass and rest. His mom was not far away so I got up and left so she could get to her baby.
I am afraid he will not make it. Up dates to follow.

HUGS

I hope your little finch makes it, SF. I am a bird watcher, too, and hate it when I see an injured bird or animal.
