At the Washington Post, Jennifer Rubin notes: Maggie Haberman of Politico confirms first that Hillary Clinton is entirely inaccessible to the media and second that none of those denied access thought it important to let the public know Clinton is hiding from questions.

This is exactly the strategy she used in running for the Senate in NY. She does not want to face the hurly-burly of actually campaigning so she sets up a one-way communications path. Thus, her 'listening tour' campaign in NY - 'Don't ask me questions; I'm only here to listen.' She wants to be President. She does not want to have to make her case for why she should be President by actually campaigning.

You make a good point. There’s many things out there she doesn’t want to be held accountable for because she knows she doesn’t have reasonable answers, she’ll just clam up.
