It's customary to give a waiter a nice tip for good service.
But one San Luis Obispo server was given the surprise of his life when a party he was serving gave him a $1,000 tip on an $800 check.
He says it was a group of regulars who gave him the huge tip.
He had just one table Saturday night, a party of 10.
But that was more than enough.

Because it did a great job for you LOL
And didn’t crash. ... Er! Drop the dishes on the floor.
I know the PC police are trying to get away from “waiter” and “waitress”, but “server” sounds more demeaning to me.
They had a story in New Orleans this weekend. A waitress at Galatoire’s got a $10,000 tip on a $9,000 check.
Uncle Sam’s & Brother Jerry are going to grab about 50% of that tip.
Exactly. The poor guy should have kept his mouth shut about the tip.

I think people that are able to give good tips are doing so because they really appreciate seeing someone doing their job well and they know how much people are suffering under this tyrant’s reign. When I used to earn several hundred thou a year I used to love to give big tips to those I could sense were struggling while giving their very best at their job. I think people love to see people excel at what they do and really appreciate it especially in this day and where you see spoiled self consumed brats that are lazy and unappreciative of what they do have.
Server is perceived as neutral gender, while waiter indicates male. Thanks, Feminazis.

Well you don’t give those types of tips for service really. It’s really about wanting to help them out because they appear to be good people. I will place bets Christians, as a whole, tip better than athiests and the left; for that matter give much more to charity as well.
I give more to charity because I think and believe that it’s our job, as Christians, NOT the big daddy government’s place. I’m quite chintzy with what I call professional leeches though. Lifetime welfare members, etc...
