One of the questions I always had about flight 800 was what kind of missile could have been used to shoot it down, the aircraft being quite large and at enough of an altitude that it looked like such a shoot down wold be a bit of a stretch for a Stinger with its relatively small warhead. Then came the current downing of MH 17 with a BUK missile. Since the whole BUK system is self contained, relatively small, and highly mobile, the answer came to me. It would have been quite easy for the Iranians to mount one of those systems on a nondescript tramp freighter, sail the ship to the proper location, fire the missile, dump the evidence, and quietly sail away. As we've just seen, a BUK missile definitely has both the range and warhead power to down any civilian airliner, no matter how large.

It doesn’t need to be large if it is well placed.

If I recall correctly, it was also the center fuel tank that hired Craig Livingstone.

Are you confusing air disasters? It’s a beautiful picture, but Im confused what TWA800 has to do with Montoursville, PA.

As someone who lived on LI when it was shot down, it was amazing to hear the lies as the story went national.

The US Nave was in the area and there was an ‘exercise’ going on. So maybe it was an air to air missile with a dummy warhead.

If I’m not mistaken, Arafat was “in town” on that day, dragging along his bureaucratic thugs.
I’ve speculated that CIA, with the knowledge of Billy Jeff, offered weaponry to the PLO. A military training event was being held in the general area of NY, NY.
Somewhere near LI-NY, on a military obervance skiff, certain missiles were being considered for transaction. Our CIA spooks pointed out a floating target for testing; The PLO thug pointed the weapon at flight 800 as it ascended.
Everybody clammed up and a “credible lie” was formulated (AKA: B.L.E.V.E. in center fuel tank).

Na. I just think he flubbed the statement and actually didn’t know one way or another. He just ‘called’ it a shoot-down, because he is a sloppy speaker (comes from being a sloppy thinker) like all journalists nowadays.

Cluntons should be hung for this.
And he kept ignoring terrorism until they took down the towers.
Read Dereliction of duty.
They knew of this plan in 96.
That fat slunt hitlary was yelling at Bush about what did he know and when to divert attention from the rapist.

At a televised press conference I saw on T.V., Billdo Clinton was asked WHO HIRED Craig Livingstone. Billdo Clinton said "I don't know, but I will find out and get right back with you". I guess he never did get back. I guess the head of White House security,(his title), just walked into the White House off the street, and hired himself. Pretty neat feat!

Some truths CNN reveals only accidentally. One such truth Anderson Cooper shared on the night of July 17. In speaking about the shoot down of Malaysian airliner MH 17 earlier that day, Cooper referred back to July 17, 1996, when TWA Flight 800 was shot down off the coast of Long Island in New York. So TWA 800 was shot down becasue Anderson Cooper said so. Well thank God that mystery has finally been put to rest.
