You ought to read his book “What’s The Matter With Kansas?” like I did to discover incomprehensible. Basically, in this screed/article, Frank, like many radical leftists, laments that Obama is not Marxist enough for commies like Frank.

It kind of ranks up there with Michelle Obama’s Princeton senior thesis which Christopher Hitchens commented on in Slate magazine

“I direct your attention to Mrs. Obama’s 1985 thesis at Princeton University. Its title (rather limited in scope, given the author and the campus) is “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community.” To describe it as hard to read would be a mistake; the thesis cannot be “read” at all, in the strict sense of the verb. This is because it wasn’t written in any known language. “

If you've read Frank's book, then you know what I'm talking about. He became (in)famous from that book. All his major arguments were refuted by a number of people including his statement that most Kansas conservatives vote for Republicans on social issues. Of course social issues are part of the reason, but the major reason the very religious, socially conservative, Kansas Republicans voted that way is on economic issues something Frank refuses to believe.

I don't know if he's the originator of the common leftist trope about people "voting against their own economic interests," but the idea that many Americans reject the suggestion to rely on the government for making their lives is something Frank just cannot comprehend.
