AND NOW Israel is currently cooperating with Egypt to crush Hamas (as Egypt wants that, too) and Israel is also willing and anxious to give aid to Jordan to prevent ISIS (or now IS) from taking over there.
The key items for Israel in establishing its right "in law" are The Balfour Declaration, the Palestine Mandate, and then what Israel fought very hard it attain in the United Nations - the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan! Again, all of these are mentioned in the document for Independence as supporting their "legal case".
..................
The Balfour Declaration and the Mandate were incorporated into UN policy as were many resolutions passed by the League of Nations. Jews living in Judea and Samaria is UN policy. Don't tell them.
If people want a Biblical perspective on the conflict, they only have to seek out their Bible and read the story about Abraham and Sarah. The Amplified Bible is very concise about the whole issue of Ismael and Isaac.
Sarah’s handmaiden, Haggar, gave birth to Abraham’s child, Ismael. Jewish Law clearly states that the “first born” inherits everything upon the death of the father. But, Jewish Law does not recognize children born out of wedlock (as far as inheritance issues are concerned), it is clear that Isaac, Sarah’s child by Abraham, was clearly a child of their marriage covenant. Because of that covenant, it was Isaac who was deemed the true and lawful inheritor of all Abraham’s possessions (including the land God had given to him).
So, in conclusion, this battle between Israel and the Arabic nations is nothing more than two half-brothers fighting over who is entitled to inherit the land that was given to Abraham by God.
Nothing worse than family feuds.
Since this is a “family” matter, there is NOBODY on the face of this earth who can NEGOTIATE with either of these peoples. Let them work it out for themselves.
Legal speagal, you own what you can defend. Israel will get it done to protect their people.
It's a shame they still rely on the words of men.
"7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, To your descendants I will give this land.
Piss on the law! A people doesn’t need any form of governmental authorization to exist or defend itself—only the will to do so.
BTW, Jabotinsky always based the Jewish claim to Israel on the San Remo Conference, not the Balfour Declaration.
I don't know why, but you seem fanatically dedicated to de-Judaizing the Jewish claim to Israel and turning it into just another country, Star.
