Posse comitatis does not apply to National Guard units and state defense forces while under the authority of a state. It applies mainly to Federal troops, with an exception for the Coast Guard.

I think it has to do with any armed troops under federal command and while NG is a state guard it still comes under federal jurisdiction which is a huge bitch here I Tx with Perry and me.

Restore the power of the 10th amendment!!

Exactly. Title 10 vs. Title 32 of the United States code of National Guard vs. Federal Military.

During Katrina, the fat, corrupt Governor Blanco (LA-D) ordered that US Federal Military go door to door, seize guns, and force people out of their homes.

Lt. Gen Russel L. Honoré told her to go to hell.

I don't think most people (or the media) realize how serious a national crisis this latest news event (Texas National Guard on the border) means.

Gov Perry could set in motion events that lead to the secession of Texas.

I am not joking.

Three years ago he said this, and before the latest crisis that Obama generated.

Texas governor says secession possible
