Texas Sen. Ted Cruz confirmed Thursday that he will be joining Glenn Beck and Mercury One at the border in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday to feed, clothe, and provide toys for illegal immigrant children.
Catherine Frazier, a spokeswoman for the senator, told TheBlaze in an email: “Tens of thousands of children are being smuggled into the United States by dangerous drug cartels and transnational gangs – it is heartless to allow that to continue.”
“But while we work to reverse the policies that have caused this tragedy, it is important we recognize the human element of this crisis, and Sen. Cruz is glad to join Glenn Beck and Mercury One in that effort to provide some relief from the suffering this administration is causing,” Frazier continued.

Well, the elected official, Ted Cruz is doing what he can based on the powers he has as legislator.
He is sponsoring legislation to end Obama’s amnesty and to humanely and expeditiously reunite these children with their families back home.

I am not here to judge their motives whether or not it is for show ( I can’t read their hearts ).
I don’t see anything wrong with their PERSONALLY ( not using tax dollars ) supporting the above private organizations with their presence.
Why would you even be talking about such an absurd thing as kids starving in America while under the care and custody of the federal government?
I think the more important question is this -— GIVEN that Mexico is an irresponsible country, what should the USA do?

And oh yeah, if Cruz is dead to FReepers as POTUS candidate because of what he’s doing with Beck, what about the other conservative, Mike Lee?
It just so happened that Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) dropped out of the trip with Beck, saying a scheduling conflict prevented him from attending.
Does this mean he could have joined Cruz and Beck if he had no scheduling conflict?

I am answering the person as a matter of US POLICY.
He gave me the impression that we ( as in the USA ) should not even be feeding these kids while they are here. That’s why I asked the question.

SIMPLE SOLUTIONS IF WE HAD A COMPETENT LEADER ( which we don’t ):
1) BUILD THE DOUBLE BARRIER BORDER.
2) SEND THE KIDS HOME (BY PLANE) ASAP.
What’s so hard about that?
And oh yeah, while we’re at it.... CALL PRESIDENT ENRIQUE NIETO and tell him (yes insist) to get our marine out of their jail ASAP.

HOW TO SEND THE 60,000 kids home by plane...
1) Charter 10 planes that can fit 250 people.
2) 1 two way flight a day for each plane to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras ( 1 way for the kids of course ).
That’s 2,500 kids a day.
That should dispose off every one within 25 days.
