While both the Ukrainian and Russian governments continue to point fingers at one another for the MH17 crash, former Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) urged caution Friday against jumping to any conclusions about where blame lies.
Some American pundits accuse Vladimir Putin of having blood on his hands since the missile that took down the Malaysia Airlines flight may have been a Russian weapon given to pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine.
Speaking with Newsmax TVs John Bachman earlier today, Paul said Putin is a little bit smarter than that. I dont think he would ever come close to participating in an act like this.
At the same time, there have been these new sanctions from the White House, Bachman replied. And there have been a lot of fingers pointed in Putins direction for not directly being involved but being complicit with the fact that some of these weapons he might turn his back to it but theyre Russian weapons.
Pauls response: That may well be true, but guess what? ISIS has a lot of American weapons. We send weapons into Syria to help the rebels and if al Qaeda ends up getting it, it doesnt mean our American government and Obama deliberately wanted ISIS to get American weapons.
“Thanks for admitting that you are in Russias corner on Putins agenda, and against the free world and NATO and the U.S.”
Yep, sorry. I agree with Putin on Syria, on social issues (protecting children), on the need to deal strongly with terrorism, and the threat of Islam.
Those used to be FR positions too, I think.
I doubt that the military veteran Jim Robinson supports Russia and Putin, and has turned against the free world and the West.
You must have me confused with someone else.
I am not the kind of person who is intimidated by threats.
I do not back down from my enemies.
I fight them!
Benghazi was rumored from the outset to be about MANPADS delivered to terrorists. Since then, the circumstantial evidence has piled so high that it’s fairly certain it’s true. We armed terrorists in Libya. We armed terrorists in Egypt. In Syria, Obama has indicated any number of times that arms for Assad’s opponents (terrorists) should be a given.
Ron Paul is right in this instance. It’s hard to complain about the putin when the Obama is playing the same game.
Putins positions are to attack neighboring countries and kill/enslave the people in them. Oh, and give AA equipment to his minions so they can shoot down airliners.
I’m pretty sure those aren’t FR positions, I think.
