I was trying to remember her! She was NOT wimpy.

Reminds me of something...when I was a child, I saw an “epic” movie, I think it was “The Greatest Story Ever Told”, but not entirely sure.

The woman accused (and about to be stoned) for adultery was portrayed as Mary Magdelene in the scene!!!!

(DAMN the producers of that film for the “artistic license” they took! I’ve no doubt it impacted many a youngster for years!)

You are right!

They were two different women.

Both women, however, are illustrations of Jesus’ remarkably revolutionary attitude towards women.

And another interesting thing is that in the Torah, if a man and woman were caught in adultery, they were BOTH supposed to be stoned, not just the woman. It is speculated that, when Jesus wrote in the dust of the street, He was naming names of the men who had also committed this sin.
