And guess what. You’ll be buying their pot too.
Because you’re a hypocrite to only legalize your favorite drug and lump it with the other legal ones. To me, legalizing means more use which we don’t need. Look to CO and WA for what’ll become of the whole country. It’s not going to be pretty.
I'll take states rights and personal autonomy over a spectacularly failed War On (Some) Drugs, the destruction of the Fourth Amendment, and an incarceration rate greater than any other country on the planet.
Those making the argument about paying for potheads' health care are already for paying for their stops, arrests, convictions and jail/prison time.
I don't have a “favorite drug.” I don't use.
Historically, drugs such as Marijuana and Hashish were legal at least until the 30s. Stupid people will make poor choices whether it's smoking their brains out, eating too much, eating garbage food, etc.
I'm not saying sell Crack and Meth from vending machines. All I'm saying is I prefer dangerous liberty to being a slave to a nanny state.
Actually, a libertarian would say that the citizenry should be free to smoke if they so wish... and that no citizen should be forced to pay for the care of any other citizen at all. Those who want their choices subsidized by the general public are called liberals, not libertarians. Learn the difference.
“I believe I mentioned actuarial evidence. Look it up.”
Your hoping the information is verifiable. Stoners lie and do not tell the truth. How would actuaries be able to acrue any truth from dumbass stoners?
Apparently, you have no idea whatsoever how such evidence is collected.
He was too stoned to go to the doctor. Pot related death. ;-(
To be fair, that's not the article's position:
"I certainly dont think that my long-developed and strongly held views against using drugs should be inflicted upon other people to whom I have no responsibility. Nor do I believe that someone elses devotion to a weed pipe in any way impinges upon some high morals or precious views that I might hold.
"I dont like cats. But I dont want to outlaw cats."
But it does seem to be the position of some on this thread.
Amen!
In Colorado and Washington, it's mostly legal recreational marijuana.
“Hows that for evidence? ;)”
Anecdotal, and therefore dubious.
I would.
And have them at every 7-11.
I wouldn't - I'd leave it up to local licensing bodies, many of whom don't allow hard liquor sales at 7-11s. (And some counties don't allow alcohol at all.)
Since all drugs are the same apparently to liberaltarians.
I never heard anyone say that. What most mind-altering drugs, including alcohol, have in common is that banning them serves only to enrich criminals.
Completely false. Bob Marley died from melanoma (skin cancer) that developed from a spike wound on his foot from playing soccer, then metastasized though his body. He never had lung cancer, and it had nothing to do with weed.
You’re crazy, but at least you’re not a hypocrite like many liberaltarians.
What are you babbling? Washington retail stores have been open only for a few days and some have already closed due to lack of product. Meanwhile, no real supply constraints exist in the medical marijuana market and the black market is huge.

LOL! Leave it to government. But I expect soon enough Washington will catch up to Colorado, where nonmedical marijuana sales are booming.
and the black market is huge.
I'm sure you know that's mostly not medical marijuana - if we're counting the black market, it's additional evidence against tophat9000's claim, 'Its Medical Marijuana'.
Youre crazy
Do you have evidence against my statement?
You’re saying that is the only outcome. That nobody is deterred from using because of availability or legal issues. I know I was and have been, so I’m one example at least. I know of others as well.
It doesn’t ‘only’ do one thing. To think so is simple-minded and foolish. There are negatives and positives. I believe the positives far outweigh the negatives. Pot is more borderline than the rest, but to say legalized meth would be a net benefit is crazy.
Really? You and people you know were unafraid of the inherent risks of drug use but were afraid of the small chance of being arrested? Takes all kinds, I guess ...
