Everytime any concerted attempt is made to enforce laws against illegal aliens, the feds swoop in and claim “jurisdiction” to protect them.
Anyone who buys a Tyson product is enabling illegal slave labor.
But the southern states are not allowed to complain about imported slaves...
States enforce criminal laws against illegals all the time. Court rulings a couple of years back prevented states from enforcing immigration law. Crimes such as ID fraud are interesting because they are general crimes, but when committed to hide illegal status, that does become interesting.
I'd bet the states can enforce them, but they'd never have the jail space to lock the illegals up because there are so many millions around the country committing ID crimes.
