A casual Barack Obama took mere moments to address the deaths of 295 people aboard a Malaysian airliner on Thursday in Wilmington, Delaware before launching into his prepared remarks on America's transportation infrastructure.
Twenty-three Americans are feared dead after the jetliner crashed in eastern Ukraine today. Obama declared that 'it looks like it may be a terrible tragedy.'
'It is wonderful to be back in Delaware,' he began.
'Before I begin, obviously the world is watching reports of a downed passenger jet near the Russia-Ukraine border. And it looks like it may be a terrible tragedy. Agree. It was some Ukrainian rebel hotshots out for a thrill. They were gobsmacked when they found out they had hit a passenger plane. They thought it was Uk. Army transport.
Those guys have probably been taken out back and had bullets put through their brains as we speak.
So true. When I watched the video I could not discern even a “smidgen” of empathy from the guy. At least Boehner who is a normal human being gave an appropriate response.
