I hadn’t read that congress had authorized such an expenditure. That would suggest that the money came from money already budgeted to someone else. Who that somebody else is is what i would like to know.

The gist of my reply/cartoon is that we, the producing taxpayers, will ultimately pay for it. This government is astutely capable of redirecting funds through the usual practice of budgetary smoke and mirrors. The 1990's Clinton Administration took funds out of completed negotiated government programs and simply reallocated, reallotted the funds elsewhere.

No, the House did not vote/approve Obama's 'emergency' request for funds. Remains to be seen how this Administration frames the argument, manipulates the media, portrays the 'children' as greatly harmed by the lack of compassionate Republican approval.
