Laura deShazo of Salt Lake City testified Monday she was at the pub in Coronado California, the night when slain "American Sniper" author Chris Kyle said he punched a man he called "Scruff Face." Kyle later identified the man as Ventura.
DeShazo said she was in the bar to attend the wake for a friend of Kyle's. While there, she, her sister and her brother's girlfriend poses for a picture with Ventura.

I loved Ventura in the 80s though, when he and Jim McMahon used to go at it during wrestling matches.
Really? I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars on tix and
NOW I find out wrestling is fake! What’s next, Democrat politicians lie?
Save
I am honestly and truly sorry to break it to you.
Once, a long time ago, I had the opportunity to meet several of the WWF (then) stars and host them in my office at the Cable Company. They were doing a bunch of personal appearances around New England.
They were all great guys. Hulk Hogan, the two hillbilly guys, and a bunch of others. The only one who was a jerk was the guy who used to go around with the Lovely Elizabeth (Macho Man?).
Macho Man never came out of character. The rest of them were in my conference room eating lunch behind two sets of closed doors. No cameras, no recorders. And the guy never went out of character. The other guys were even making fun of him.
A memorable afternoon, I must say.
Seals and UDTs are one in the same. Ventura went to BUDs, which all Seals go through. At the time, 1970, he may not have gone through things like airborne training and the like, but he is a Seal.
Saying UDTs are not Seals is like saying Delta Force isn’t JSOC because they aren’t Seal Team 6. Both statements are incorrect.
"Look," I told him, "why don't we just step away from each other and go on our way?"
Scruff bowed up again. This time he swung.
Being level-headed and calm can last only so long. I laid him out.
Tables flew. Stuff happened. Scruff Face ended up on the floor.
I left
Quickly.
I have no way of knowing for sure, but rumor has it he showed up at the BUD/S graduation with a black eye.
Kyle should have relegated his book to his heroics as a military sniper, as the title implied. Instead he chose embelish his career with his machismo bar room antics off base and in civilian life......certainly not impressive to me.
As for his alleged sucker punching Jim Janos, if he was a real man, he wouldn't have left the bar. Certainly his fellow homies would have had his back in the ensuing fight...........
As for his final statement regarding the rumor of a black eye, that hasn't yet been substantiated.........
Kyle brought this on himself and Ventura naturally has an obligation to clear his name of this potential slander.........
And that's all I'm gonna say about that........
