Great catch chip—zero commented the other day that he had doubled the number of border patrol and now we want more. He never noted that most are now changing diapers and watching over sick kids. These guys are slick no doubt.
“How is Perry pro Amnesty? I would say he is pretty Conservative on most issues”
Bray, you have missed a tremendous amount of political history in Texas.
Perry is NO conservative - He is a RINO who at times has proposed doing eminent domain for a chunk of Texas to put in a Highway / Train from the Mexican border north. As a good business idea I support the Highway - BUT NOT AS eminent domain land grab
At another time he tried to pass a law to immunize all teenage girls in Texas with PIV?? I may have the acronym wrong. He was stopped by Talk Radio outrage led by Dan Patric who is currently running for the Lt. G’nor spot in Texas
What McLame without Linda?
There should be little argument that Rick Perry needs a small fire lit under his ass from tine to time to keep him from crossing over to rinoville.....
AGREED..Perry looks very good. charles Krauthammer said the glasses he’s wearing now makes all the difference.ha.
“34 hours until Jack Bauer saves England and our potus”....
WHAAAT???
Not “our “ potus.....ha. Jack would never save our current Potus!! And Jack would throw Valerie Jarett out a high window! Yeah!
Well, it grows from there. The TPs need to get together to coordinate at the state convention or privately, and then get more of them on the state committee.
Then some bigger fireworks can happen.
I stand horrendously corrected you are right! Bauer would never lower himself. Its a make believe potus who also sells goldt on tv...
1. Ill take a RINO over a Democrat any day.
2. “0bama IS ignorant.”
Going back to an earlier comment - you’ll take a RINO over a DemCommie - So where do you place Karl Rove in your pantheon?
Dictators are not ignorant. We, who put up with them are ignorant.
Nicaragua, Danny Oretega
Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, not some other Dictator
And there are many other South American countries in this boat and Brazil could very well be next.
Argentina will have a MAJOR problem at the end of the month They will be declared Bankrupt and it will be an issue for the U.S Stock market and Bond market
Exactly. I agree 100%. And you and I are smart enough to understand we’re allies and friends, and both ultimately want the same outcome (Conservatism triumphs!).
I’d be lying to say I didn’t vote for Romney in 2012. And if anyone recalls, eventually even Jim Robinson himself came to the same conclusion, though I cannot say how he voted. To me, the important thing was that Obama lost, as the cost of keeping him in was greater, IMHO, than having Romney do us damage. Others disagreed with that, but we still respected each other.
Still, Obama won, so we’ll never know.
I just want it out there right now, that IMHO the Republicans HAVE to win the Senate in 2014, and any conservative who advocates voting democrat because they hate this or that RINO is, in my opinion, hurting the conservative cause. I say this not to claim that any RINOs now running are conservative, but the reality is the Senate is decidedly left wing RIGHT NOW, and letting it stay that way is, again, IMHO, slitting our own throat.
Frankly, IF the Senate goes Republican in 2014, it is just as likely to swing back to democrat control in 2016, this time with Chuck U. Shumer as Leader.
So to me our fight for the moment, in priority order is:
A. Elect TEA party Republicans in the few remaining primaries. (And I’ll note we are 50/50 on that win/loss-wise, but I am disappointed by certain conservatives who did NOT fight for the TEA partier who ran. You simply have to look at the voting percentages of overall participation in races like the Kentucky and Mississippi primaries. The get-out-the-vote numbers were atrocious for “must-win” elections so vital to the more conservative side of our party. McConnell and Cochran both would have lost if MORE who voted had voted for Bevin and McDaniel. Winning elections takes more than typing posts. But YOU of all people now that.)
B. Elect enough Republicans in various Senate races in November to have the Republicans win the body.
C. Impeach Obama for breaking the laws and not enforcing laws that according to the Constitution, only the legislative body of their branch of government can create. The president/executive cannot make law, and the Constitution MUST be enforced/followed, or ALL is lost. If impeachment is the only way, let it come. If all the democrats in the Senate and many RINOs vote to acquit, let it be on record at least.
good points...if there are other factors..Perry is smart not to jump the shark .
Remember when Heller dropped the bottle of pills and his aid helped pick them up.
I think the aid put a look alike pill in the bottle. Heller is going to take it and go into a death like catatonic state appearing dead.
They will bring his body home to the US for an autopsy when they check the casket they will find it empty.
Is the president dead or alive. Next season will tell the story.
Not only that but why are there border patrol agents 1000 miles from the border in Florida.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3179218/posts?page=53#53
Where are they stationed and why are they not on the border saying “No Entre”.
“A RINO president could be pushed around by a more conservative Congress.”
Bush I - No New Taxes
Bush II - TSA, No child left behind, Mr. Roberts - Obamacare is a tax
RINO or Commie - you decide how much of you health care will disappear.
As for me, I have seen this before in the old country under communist tyranny
We’re gonna have hard time with this...The second part of the Dems unting these groups is that they are also drumming the message that ALL these groups have as their enemy, Republicans and their saviors are Dems.
Very potent combo. And tough to turn around.
also, any conservatives in these groups are immediately maligned and cast as turncoats.
Hmmmmm....
Maybe their inbreeding has caused some fatal genetic biological vulnerability.
We just need to figure out what it is.
Mcain backed down to a “No you can’t come in” from a $9 an hour security guard...Tough guy.
Yup, the media is our worst obstacle, and enemy.
so what...that is small potatoes compared to his strong stance on border security.
Thank you and it appears we do agree on most.
But let me defend Rock. He is not “engaged in a love fest” and it is misleading to characterize it as such, especially a great friend as Rock is to us, whom we know and I assure that Rock is as solid a conservative as the rest of us. He is saying he supports a RINO over a democrat. No more than that.
That does not a love fest make, plain and simple.
Pat, you have a way with words, but sometimes your words are hyperbole.
No, I’d say enforce the laws on the books now as we secure the border. If voters don’t like the laws, change them. I understand my position does not resolve the underlying problems but I don’t think we can fix it with one overall bill. Besides, if Democrats won’t enforce the laws today what makes anyone think they’ll enforce anything new?
IMHO, it’s better to put off the border problems until we have a Republican Senate to support our Republican House. Once that’s in place maybe we can get some things accomplished.
I do agree this whole thing is 0bama forcing immigration as a campaign issue to help Democrats. I’d say stall or make the bills too hard for Democrats to support them for now. We need to address these issues next year with a new congress that really represents the voters.
