Then you've missed a lot of Scripture. Yes, the real evil lies with Obama, but Beck is aiding and abetting lawbreaking. That's hardly a virtue.
"Beck has not violated any government law...nor has he violated the laws of God. I believe that his motive is good, though it may be somewhat imprudent."
He is encouraging more invaders to break the law, which is not of God.
"Young people (teens and young children) are presently forming the *majority* of those presenting themselves at the border."
Where are you getting your information---from Huffington Post? It has been established by various sources that 80% of the invaders are adults.
" Most of them sincerely need help until this can be lawfully resolved."
Like I said, give them food and water and ship them home. That's help, isn't it? Why do you require more?
" Obama is taking advantage of changed laws that require a lengthy process. I understand that this was all accomplished by Obama changing some law and also figuring a way to use some law already on the books to utilize his devious Alinsky-like tactics. His plans and implementation of such tactics began in 2010..far earlier than most people realize and the proof of this is readily available."
This doesn't absolve bleeding hearts like Beck. Send them home.
"We all need to focus on Obama for the present crisis of using children to get his own way on immigration."
What about the parents of the kids who abandoned them to illegally get a foot in the door here? How's that for "using?"
We can walk and chew gum at the same time. We must also focus on sending these people, including the kids, back where they came from...if you want a country, that is.
"God will always avenge those who help the poor."
Why isn't food, water, and being sent back help enough for you? Why do you think God requires us to make those invaders, those lawbreakers, so comfortable that they bring their families here to do the same?
"He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; he will crush the oppressor. (Psalm 72:4)"
So go help them in their own countries. Why are you using Scripture to support lawbreaking---have you no conscience? And who do you consider the oppressor to be?
"The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. (Psalm 146:9)"
Again, who is the wicked, IYO?
"Alien" in the Biblical context means foreigners who happen to reside in a country---not lawbreakers. When Israel's borders were breached, God took action.
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward. (Matt. 10:42) [And YES, I pray that Beck will become a disciple of Jesus Christ.]"
Food and water is exactly what I'm talking about, so why do you have a problem with my POV? Why is a hot meal and a trip back home problematic for you?
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)"
Looking after these lawbreakers by feeding them and sending them home is more than charitable; why do you disagree?
"I believe Beck is doing what he thinks is from his heart."
LOL, and there is the problem. What does the Bible say about the heart? Listen to it, abandon discernment and Scripture, and you're in trouble. But wallowing in self-congratulatory swamps of emotion feels good temporarily, right?
Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.
I used to visit political chat rooms, and the liberals there would always misuse Scripture to try and claim we should never judge, so it's pathetic to see conservatives do the same. I'm not going to bother listing all the Scriptures which encourage us to make a righteous judgment, ask us why we are unable to judge, etc. Maybe you'll run across them one day.
"Let us leave judgment of Beck to God and work to rid our nation of the clear evil that accompanies Obama."
The judgment of his soul should be left to God, yes. But every Christian should be able to judge between right and wrong behavior. Jesus, when He told us to take the beam from our own eye, wasn't telling us not to judge, but HOW to do it.
BTW, are you planning on taking any of the invaders into your own home, or on visiting the border to help them?
We will simply have to agree to disagree then...and leave final judgment about what we think about all of this up to God.
I have been to many Latin American countries and I know exactly what conditions many are coming from. Can we take them all in? Of course not...but I hope I help those who are here by teaching them English, American History (non-revised. and American Government (the way it was intended to function)and Economics.
What do you do?
