COLUMBIA A right-leaning poll shows nearly half of likely S.C. voters favor re-electing U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham.
About 49 percent of 750 likely S.C. voters polled said they would vote for the Seneca Republican, who is seeking a third term in November.
Grahams Democratic challenger, state Sen. Brad Hutto of Orangeburg, was favored by 30 percent of those polled. Ten percent said they would choose another candidate and 11 percent were undecided.
The poll was conducted July 9-10 by Rasmussen Reports. The polls margin of error was plus or minus 4 percentage points.

If conservatives abandon him for Ravenel or the Democrat, he's toast! And good riddance!
50% or less for any incumbent is big trouble
I’m sorry - 50% is still too high. What’s wrong with the people in S.C.?
Like their little MS Magnolia cousins, SC Palmetto people are stuck on incumbency and name ID.
Very true. The local media foams at the mouth when Linda speaks, and low info voters here in SC believe everything the media reports. (WSPA, WYFF, and the Spartanburg Herald fish wrap)
Lindsey’s in for a surprise.
Deal with it.
I have voted since 1972 and have never voted for a Dem for Senate. I have only voted for a them twice in my life. If I lived in South Crolina the Dem there would be the first one I would of ever voted for.
Right minded voters won’t jump ship on Graham in the general. Not with the chance ejecting Harry Reid from control of the Senate, which should happened sooner.
“If conservatives abandon him for Ravenel or the Democrat, he’s toast! And good riddance! “
And another guaranteed seat lost. Conservatives tried to win the seat and lost. Keep the seat Republican, win the majority then turn the Conservatives loose.
Fine. We Texans will send thousands of these poor little immigrant children right to SC today. Let’s do it.
Let’s see what the polls look like when Ravenel kicks his campaign into high gear and starts running Ads. But, we must remember, this is the General Election and a plurality wins.
It has my vote. Just make sure every single one goes to Graham’s hometown. Only instead of thousands, send millions.
As I stated earlier. This is the General Election... plurality wins. No 50% + 1 needed.
If you think that the Democrat Party is going to sit idly by and get voted out of power by the peons, you have another think coming. They are going to use every dirty trick in the book along with some they just invented. More importantly, they [Democrats] will have the support of the Republican Party and main stream media versus Conservatives.
In can be done, but the chances of it happening are higher p>than the sun rising in the west.
For the Conservatives to pull it off, they would need candidates to inspire , encourage, and motivate. Ted Cruz can do that. Sarah Palin can do that. Trey Gowdy can do that. And intervention from Almighty God brought about by often and fervent prayer.
I still can’t believe this RINO won his primary against a field of 6-8 tea party candidates in 2014 when EVERYONE knows this guy is a stinking RINO.
That's the problem - too many opponents. If it had been one or two, he'd have lost. With a field that large, the names become obscure and people tend to go with the familiar, warts and all.
Just indicates the stupidity of the SC voters.
SC likes their fag.
