Israel is considered one of the most “progressive” countries in the region when it comes to this sort of thing.

“LGBT rights in Israel have advanced in recent years and have generally been seen as one of the most progressive countries in the Middle East and Asia. Same-sex sexual activity was legalized in 1988, although the former law against buggery had not been enforced since a court decision of 1963. Israel became the first in Asia to recognize unregistered cohabitation between same-sex couples, making it the only country in Asia (together with Vietnam) to recognize any same-sex union thus far. Although same-sex marriages are not performed in the country, Israel recognizes same-sex marriages performed elsewhere, making it the first and only country in Asia to do so. Discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation were prohibited in 1992. Same-sex couples are allowed to jointly adopt after a court decision in 2008, while previously allowing stepchild adoptions and limited co-guardianship rights for non-biological parents. Gays and lesbians are also allowed to serve openly in the military.

Recent polls have indicated that a majority of Israelis support same-sex marriage, despite some social conservatism. Tel Aviv has frequently been referred to by publishers as one of the most gay friendly cities in the world, famous for its annual Pride Parade and gay beach, earning it the nickname “the gay capital of the Middle East” by Out Magazine. According to LGBT travelers, it was ranked as the best gay city in 2011, despite reports of some LGBT violence during the 2000s, which were criticized by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres. A monument dedicated to the LGBT victims persecuted by Nazis during World War II will be erected in Tel Aviv.”

Read the whole Wiki entry; I think a lot of people would probably be quite surprised to see how “gay friendly” Israel really is, most notably that gays are allowed to serve openly in the IDF.

You would think they had no history to warn them:

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy. (Ezekiel 16:38)

As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. (Ezekiel 16:48)

Now I begin to understand why at the end of Armageddon only a remnant of Israel’s Jewish population will be left alive. Her sinful people will be destroyed!

Okay, I'm surprised, but now I have some new justifications for some of the aggression against Israel and the US being called the "Great Satan" by Israel's neighbors.

For me, Revelation prophecy is difficult to piece together and understand, but it seems to be coming together fairly quickly in our time.

Only a few years ago I saw the US as one of the good guys and the Biblical story's ending something for the distant future.

But after just a few years of life in the obamanation, all is upside down and the Biblical story is about the only thing that explains the world I now wake up in.

Interesting times, huh?

What you posted makes me do a double take as to Israel’s relationship to biblical history. I think about the accounting of ‘Sodom and Gomorra’ and other biblical incidents as to God’s warnings on human behavior. If Israel today is as festered with homosexual activity as your post gives, then I take what is happening with Israel as just another action by the supreme creator to demonstrate displeasure. I also muse as to how all the preachers in the USA can ignore such goings on in their promoting Israel as the center of God on this Earth.
