I've been having the 14 year old twins over because it's summer. They get to learn stuff, whether they like it or not. We watched a documentary on Charles Martel (Charles the Hammer).

He inherited his first fighting force when he was 15. (Really? He was just 15? Like, for real?) Then went on to run the Muslims out of Europe.

Gave the kids a different perspective.

Helicopter parents and public officials are the problem. Not the kids.

I set high expectations.

But the 11-yr-old might not be able to unbuckle her car seat and get out if it gets too hot. What, no car seat?!?! Nanny cop will just add that on to the charges.
