At a press conference Thursday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said people with religious beliefs who disagree with the Obamacare contraception mandate should be given a choice between living by their faith or being allowed to form a corporation to do business.
Youre born with a religion or you adopt a religion. You have to obey the precepts of that religion and the government gives you a wide penumbra you dont have to form a corporation, Schumer said.
In the Hobby Lobby case, decided last month, the Supreme Court ruled that a closely-held family-owned corporation could not be forced by the government to violate their Christian beliefs by providing insurance coverage for drugs and devices that can cause abortions. Schumer argues that the court "misapplied" the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).

If Schumer (Demagogue, NY) were to have his way, what kind of economy would we have should too many Christians decide they could not give up their faith, and indeed stopped forming new business enterprises.
Given that over the last 7 years, the US has only enjoyed a net gain of less than 200,000 jobs, and that new business formation is the engine that drives job growth, where would such a tyrannous government policy leave us in terms of jobs?
Moreover, under such a rule what kind of people would be forming new businesses and what kind of business practices would those businesses have? Either people who find it easy to abandon their faith, meaning they don’t really have one, or people who are without faith entirely.
What a Utopia Senator Schumer wants us to have! I can hardly describe what it would be like. Thank God that those who wrote the First Amendment had faith and wisdom that God promises to those who know Him.
Let us put this committee vote in the history book along with when members of the same political party also booed any mention of God in their platform at their 2012 national convention.

Let us remind any church leader whose memory is fading.
Pick one Chucky....... Tar or feathers......
As opposed to Liberals, whose “faith” *is* their business
It's come to that.
Was Schumer one of those senators who signed that religious freedom act in 1993?
Allowed to form a business???!!!
I just saw America the film last night. Two Buck Chuck ought to take a peek. Americans choosing their own path in life their own way, entrepreneur ism, has made this country great. He is speaking from the top crust of a tyranny. He is mistaken and so are all his little crusty friends.
“Was Schumer one of those senators who signed that religious freedom act in 1993?”
He was a representative then. He may have voted for it. I think it was unanimous in the House, or very few against.
He INTRODUCED the bill in the House.
I guess chuck the schmuck is not aware a law has to pass both houses of congress.
