In what amounts to a diplomatic earthquake, Berlin has asked the country's top CIA official to leave Germany. The measures comes in response to the second allegation in a week of a German government employee spying for the US.

The Section Chief spot at every embassy is a “spy slot” The Germans are not stupid.

Nevertheless - this is serious since it could be the beginning of a slow but steady breakdown of the trans-atlantic relationship.
The station chief is “declared to liaison” PM arrival in country. It is no surprise. The COS spends a lot of time hobnobbing with embassy and local big shots.
Why would the CIA spy on the Germans?
A better target would be terrorists and the muslim countries that support them.
I think Messi is going to break out on Sunday. I spent three years in Argentina in the late 80s, during the reign of Maradona. I think that the Germans will be in for a surprise. I just hope we don’t get stuck with a 0-0 draw at full time and have another WC final decided by penalties.
