Are the liberals scared that these disabled people will vote for Tea Party conservatives?

Soldiers are often banned from voting too.

“The complaint by the Disability and Abuse Project argues that intellectual and developmental disabilities, including conditions such as Down syndrome, are not automatic barriers to participating in elections.”

If you cant coherently fill out a ballot, then you shouldn’t be voting as a courtesy to everyone else.

At a time when election officials are struggling to convince more Americans to vote, advocates for the disabled say thousands of people with ... intellectual or developmental disabilities have been systematically denied...

So, they ARE targeting Democrats.

The democrats will help them vote just like they do for the nursing home residents. Guess how they will vote then.

Here is another side of the issue. When I was poll watching for the last major election I witnessed a man bring in an elderly woman in a wheelchair and proceed to do her voting for her. She appeared to be unaware of her surroundings and I got the strong impression that she did not know what was going on. But this man, (who could have been family, but maybe not because he didn’t appear to interact with her or treat her kindly,) was voting for her.

I of course have no idea how “she” voted, but it appeared to me to be an example of potential voter fraud.

Another example of potential voter fraud that concerned me a few years ago: My polling site was changed to a nursing home. I imagine that most of those residents, regardless of mental state, “voted” democrat that year, whether they wanted to or not. I called up my local Republican Party and reported the situation. I got the standard brush-off. But to my surprise, the polling site went back to the former site. I don’t know if my complaint had any impact or not. It just seemed like a setting that was ripe for voter fraud to occur.

Considering that my high-functioning artistic son complete 3 different Citizenship badges (community, nation, world) on his way to Eagle Scout, I’d say he’s more qualified than 95% of the voters out there...

Let see you have to be 18 to vote...so you should have the minimum mental development of an 18 year old..but that would take out 50% of the demo base vote..

The left is composed of two parts.. those that want to rule over others and those that want to be ruled...

The nanny states must have citizen that will behave like children. .no children no nanny no nanny no children. .and we are stuck in the middle of their sick S&M relationship

This can’t be right — Obama won the last election. The Dems are in charge of the Senate. So the mentally disabled surely are voting.

The dems want the union thugs in nursing homes to be able to vote on behalf of the alzheimers patients
