Palin has to know impeachment of Obama would be as successful as impeachment of Clinton was. Impeachment in the House, no conviction in the Senate.

There has to be another reason for her to be speaking about this option now. She is high profile, and she gets buzz.

Maybe it is to just put it into more people's minds that this is a remedy to the current lawless situation.

Maybe it's to motivate voters in primaries. Maybe its to motivate statehouses. Maybe it is to give voice to the Constitutional remedy which she can easily voice from her position.

Then again, maybe she has an inside that something catastrophic is right around the corner and for which impeachment can be the only remedy and the catastrophe would be so profound that even (D)'s in the Senate would find it in their own interest to convict him and throw him out.

Then she would be looked at as not only prescient, but almost predictive of the dragon slaying as well -- and that has a political cred all its own, that even her detractors could not deny.

That’s how I see it. Everyone knows Obama will never be impeached (especially with the spineless cowards in the GOP). Palin circulated this notion to wake more people up to Obama’s abject lawlessness, especially timed due to the immediate spotlight on the border invasion, and Obama’s refusal to enforce the law.
