The resolution passed 6-2. Council members Thiess, Dan Becker, Todd Kinsey, Geri Bentley, Andy Mann and Mayor Timothy Paulissen voted in favor while council members Dennis OKeeffe and Joanna Dawson were opposed.
Before the vote, Thiess announced that a similar measure based on the League City proposal was passed by Galveston County commissioners on Tuesday afternoon........"

The “Freedom From Religion Foundation” sued this town over city council prayers. A few weeks ago, they lost and League City won.
The opposite of a sanctuary city.
People with common sense and a backbone!
My hats off to League City residences.
This should be mandatory in every city council in America.

Interesting interview with one of Sheila Jackson Lee’s constituents on local FOX this morning. Apparently Feds want to renovate and reopen a closed school to house illegals in their area. Resident up in arms because the school closing meant their children were bused out of the area. She was really upset and understandably so. Thousands of illegal Hispanic kids in a Black area of a sanctuary city should prove interesting.
I thought SJL just wanted to give them lollipops. Will be interesting if she says “You all come to Texas but not in my area”.
I was baptized in League City decades ago. Great news!
