Why does Barack Obama have an 83% job approval rating among black Americans when he’s doing so much damage to them?

Your premise, common enough, is that you can define what constitutes "damage" to blacks better than they can do themselves.

The parsimonious, and correct, answer is that blacks have added up the pluses and minuses and concluded (correctly, IMO) that "Obama" (or whatever his name really is) has given them more, much more, than he has cost them.
