"REPORT: McDaniel will say that they have identified more than the 6900 irregular votes they need at press conference."

Wow - no telling what you’ll find when you start peeling an onion....
Here’s a link to Barbour the blowhard telling the GOP they need a procotology exam. Nice Barbour, keep it classy.

Because all that is known is that they are fraudulent. It can’t be proven who they voted for.
We can tell who they are and we know who they voted for.
Start arresting them for Voter Fraud and they will confess.
Who they voted for is inconsequential. As McDaniels spokesperson has said, all they need to do is throw the result into question. If you can prove a reasonable doubt as to the result, with the right judge, it will be overturned.
++++
If the data was available to determine the total votes for each candidate that would be disqualified then a recount would be in order not a new election.
So who they voted for is very, very consequential. But, as far as we know, the connection between the voter and the ballot is not available. If so the best we can hope for is a new election as you noted.
OTOH, I am yet to see anything definitive concerning the lack of tracking from voter to ballot. We are all just assuming that connection is not possible.
Under normal circumstances, you are absolutely correct, but Mississippi is one of something like 2 states that do not have a recount procedure on the books, which is why one is not on the cards.
This will be about throwing the result into question. I think that is what happened with the Hattiesburg mayoral race
Your concern is duly noted. Now step aside so we can attend to the hard work that lies ahead.
Rob McKenna did not want Dino Rossi to win because McKenna had his eyes on the Governor’s office. Had Rossi won, it would have pushed his chances back for who knows how long.
Remember who the law firm that was hired to represent the Republican party? Davis Wright Tremaine, a liberal Democrat supporting firm. If you also recall, the complaint in the election complaint failed to allege vote fraud. How convenient.
McKenna also claimed he had no authority to investigate vote fraud, which was the biggest bunch of bullshit you could imagine. I even cited the WA constitution and statute that gave him that authority. The real reason McKenna refused to investigate vote fraud was because any future chance he may have had to eventually become governor would have been lost because the liberals would have turned out in force by blaming him for cheating Gregoire ut of the office.
McKenna is a sleazeball, and always has been.
And then there was the corrupt WASC that ignored all previous cases in order to give the election to Gregoire.
Also, Gary Locke went to work for DWT after he left office.
It wasn’t the Cook County machine, it was the Philadelphia machine, led by fast Eddie Rendell.
Which is why many of us have such a sour opinion of folks who say, “Affect change via the voting booth.”
If that were all that reliable, we wouldn’t be in the crap shape we are.
If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it.

More Evidence of Illegal ‘Cash for Vote’ Operation
by Cochran Campaign Piles Up
Cochran campaign staffer Amanda Shook was illegally reimbursed for over $40,000 cash in walking around money during the Republican primary, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings. The payments are described as “Reimbursed Expenses - Campaign Walkers.”
Regulation 11 CFR 116.5 expressly defines funds advanced by campaign staff for any reason other than travel or subsistence as a loan. It is illegal under FEC rules to loan money to a campaign in excess of the contribution limit of $2,600. “[I]f your loan exceeds the limits, it is an illegal contribution, even if it is later repaid in full,” notes the FEC website.
Shook was previously alleged to be one of the sources of street cash in an alleged vote-buying operation in a Gotnews.com report from the Reverend Stevie Fielder. (more at link including .pdf of forms Shook filled out)
