Rick Perry Won't Back Away From Obama Border Conspiracy Theory
Huffington Post ^

WASHINGTON -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) is not backing away from a conspiracy theory he recently floated about the Obama administration somehow coordinating the surge of immigrants coming over the border for some unknown reason.

Perry recently suggested on Fox News that the Obama administration might be "in on this somehow" and helping move immigrants over the border. Asked about that statement on Sunday, Perry didn't back away.

"I have to believe that when you do not respond in any way, that you are either inept, or you have some ulterior motive of which you are functioning from," Perry said on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday.

Well said. Perry is complicit. His record of pandering to the ILLEGAL hordes has no doubt contributed to why they want to come there.

La Raza RIck said, "President Fox’s vision for an open border is a vision I embrace". I know the Perry faithful want to forget that but real conservatives never will.

Red Hampshire will show Perry a thing or two come February 2016, or is it January now?

yes we need people with cool heads that can carefully stay focused and stay on offense and able to disregard petty sniping from the low-lifes. Until a conservative is able to mount a serious challenge to Boehner then we are stuck with him

in either case, 0bama should be removed from office

the only question is whether or not he ends up in jail

Well, I’m not a Perrywinkle...he’s done both good and bad.

But I had to Google the “President Fox...open border” quote. I don’t remember it...but these days that means little, lol. Looks like he was talking about commerce between the countries. I don’t know that I think that uninspected trucks should come here, but that seems to be the subject. Not erasing the Texas/Mexico border.

Your home page doesn’t say where you hail from? How is your state dealing with illegal immigration? It is prevalent in all states.

as a bonus, if you’re involved in a conspiracy that results in someone’s death... you’re charged with wrongful death or murder

I would respectfully disagree with you that Perry was speaking just about commerce and trucking. He advocated a bi-national healthcare system. And in that same speech he said this:

”We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, we don’t care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there. And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. That’s why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. Those young minds are a part of a new generation of leaders, the doors of higher education must be open to them."

I live on a sizable piece of property in East San Diego County about 10 miles from the US/Mexico border. Not long ago it was common to see ILLEGAL aliens traipsing through my property headed north. They would fill their water jugs with my hose and often left it running. Water here is scarce so it is expensive. They stole fruit from my trees. They broke into my garage and my shed. They tried hotwiring my vehicles and they accosted a neighbor woman with the goal of carjacking her truck. Who knows how that would have ended had she not been armed. All this ended for us with the construction of a new border fence. But that does not matter one spit to La Raza Rick and his supporters. He opposes a fence because he really does share a vision of an open border, not just for Mexican trucks, but for its people. And his supporters? Not long ago one Perrybot argued that border fences do not work. He provided "proof" of his claim by giving me a link to a pro-ILLEGAL alien website. It was a lame argument reflective of his hero’s lame position. Fences work. Perry’s vision of an open border never will.

Thank you for your measured reply.

Truthfully, the feds require that Americans educate illegal aliens. I don’t like it any more than you do. The “Dream Act” is ridiculous and we are for accepting it. But, I guess, if they pay in-state-tuition it is what it is. Perry didn’t do that all on his own. The state legislature brought it up and backed him. Since Texas has a huge Hispanic population..as politicians...I get it. Not all are illegal.

I regret that you had the illegal problem on your and neighbors property. I rejoice in the fact that a fence across the small part of the state stopped your problem.

But truthfully, the fencing problem along the Texas/Mexico border is far more problematic. Building a fence in the middle of a river is tough. And who is gonna pay for it, if it could happen? The Feds sure won’t.

No slam against Cali intended but you have plenty of “sanctuary cities” (as do we). The illegals are still invading your state (a they are ours)...they are just taking a different route. The only people I see standing up are in Murrietta. And if what I read is correct...that may stop.

Your state is much like mine. Large Hispanic voter base. And I don’t see that you have, or have had, a governor that will stop it. Correct me if I am wrong.

I just get a little tired of Texas, or the governor, being slammed for “not stopping it.”

When Cali stops their invasion...get back to me.

Rick, you’ve been all hat no cattle on this issue. Please just stop. Your actions-or lack thereof speak louder than your words.

Rick - look in the mirror!

Call out the Texas national guard to stop this invasion, or by your own words - you are a party to it.

Not so sure Perry will take the financial hit from this without letting it first impact the nation entire so he doesn’t have to do the heavy financial lifting in his state alone. Cost money to send troops of any kind to the border....he may wait til the pressure is stronger on OB to send them at the gov. expense.

Perry’s been fighting for ‘limited’ border protection...I say this because he does not want the border ‘closed’ by any means.

If this is a conspiracy it's a pretty poorly kept secret.

0bamao has been threatening to do this if he didn't get an amnesty bill for the last six years. He knows he's not going to get one, so he's just declared an open border.

Not much of a conspiracy.

Of course, if you're a HuffPo reader, this all comes as something new to you.

This post is goofy.

We HAVE been sending state dollars to the border.

If you mean Obama does not the border closed...you are correct.

“Truthfully, the feds require that Americans educate illegal aliens.”

I am aware of that. But the USSC also ruled that residency cannot be a determining factor in deciding who does and who does not qualify for instate tuition. Perry and other pro-ILLEGAL alien Texans found a way around that ruling by avoiding the issue of residency altogether and requiring instead that the ILLEGAL alien attended at least 3 years in a Texas high school. It was a way of circumventing the law and its result is clear; ILLEGAL aliens now qualify for and receive both instate tuition and financial aid that American citizens do not. Moreover, other states, including the Peoples’ Republik of Kalifornistan have followed suit. Thank you Rick Perry, you're such a leader!

I have heard all the arguments by those opposed to border fence and the presence of a river is by far not an insurmountable obstacle to it. Erect the fence on the Texas side of the river and that small obstacle is solved.

I just get a little tired of Texas, or the governor, being slammed for “not stopping it.” When Cali stops their invasion...get back to me.

To my knowledge no one in this state proclaiming to be a "Conservative" has or will be running for POTUS. So as tired as you may be of hearing criticisms of La Raza Rick, they are sure to continue as long as he: a) continues falsely presenting himself as a conservative and b) with his pro-ILLEGAL alien record continues trying to get elected to the highest office in the land.

Thank you for mentioning the PGR. As we say, there are a million things we would rather do but none more important.

It is very true. If your point was to highlight that the liberals in the state of Kalifornistan have followed Rick Perry's lead then you have attained your goal. If it was to point out that my state also gives handouts to ILLEGAL aliens, I already knew that. The difference is this state is run by self-described liberal democrats. What's Perry's excuse?

You are correct. With his long record of being pro-ILLEGAL alien it is clear as it can be, Perry does not want the border closed.
