It used to be that the Baptist General Convention of Texas was liberal but associated with the Southern Baptists, and the Southern Baptists of Texas was conservative but also associated with the Southern Baptists; some churches in Texas affiliate with both. Texas Baptist Men used to be affiliated with BGCT but looks like it has ties to both sides at this point.

Maybe a good time for the Southern Baptists to decide whose law they are following and create their own men’s group.
