Speaking of "federal assets," what are the federal facilities in Murrieta that gives the feds the authority to dump illegal and sickly aliens into them?

As far as I can tell, Murrieta is a sleepy little township with no federal facilities at all. That doesn't seem to be stopping the federal agencies from thinking that all the ground that they walk on is federal ground. They seem to claim federal jurisdiction wherever they choose to stand.

How can this be?

The Border Patrol station which the citizens of Murrieta and Temecula have in the past supported. A good deal of mutual respect had been generated between the citizens and BP in Murrieta.
