Conservative Poll: Sen. Hagan Leads GOPer Tillis (love those Establishment nominees!)

Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC) leads North Carolina state House Speaker Thom Tillis (R) in the North Carolina race for U.S. Senate according to a recent poll released by the conservative think tank Civitas.

The poll found Hagan leading Tillis 42 percent to 36 percent. Meanwhile, Libertarian candidate Sean Haugh had 9 percent support, the poll found.

Civitas also asked those surveyed who they would prefer if the only options were Tillis and Hagan, the respective Republican and Democratic nominees for Senate. Forty-seven percent said they would pick Hagan while 43 percent said they would pick Tillis.

The poll was conducted among 600 registered voters in North Carolina from June 18 through the 22 on behalf of National Research, inc. The margin of error was plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Read the article. They ran the poll without the LP candidate and those votes STILL split for Hagan.

The GOP-e candidate is unelectable. Stop blaming 3rd parties for the GOP-e drive to pimp unelectable candidates.

There's your answer. Sounds like more of the 9% split for Tillis than Hagan, with undecideds going to Tillis after the LP candidate is removed.

This proves my point more than anything. If the GOP-e would put up ELECTABLE candidates, Libertarians will vote their way if they don't have a party choice of their own. Stop blaming 3rd parties for the failures of GOP-e nominees.

I'm tired of living under liberal republicans that support the Dems liberal agenda.

If you want to win elections, run conservatives.

They don't have to be perfect, but they should at least match the party platform, and not be pro-abortion, pro-amnesty, anti-gun, pro-socialized-medicine, and pro-big-government.

Civitas ran a poll a month earlier, May 20-22, and found just the opposite. Tillis up +5.
The polls are bouncing around. Multiply polls over the past few months have had this
race in the 2 to 4 point range with either candidate leading at various times.
