A noble sentiment from a different time; libs can;t have it both ways. My whole life libs have preached civil disobedience, racial strife, and distrusst of government. They shouldn’t be shocked that those sentiments prevail even when their token is in office.
While watching a World Cup game last week, my wife was annoyed that my sons didn’t know the national anthem. I thought it was amusing, especially since she hasn’t bothered to take American citizenship (she is a “replacement American” imported decades ago). These noble concepts of patriotism died when the underlying beliefs were marginalized; now we pay our way (and then some) to live here, but that’s about the extent of it. Flame away; the country is reaping what it has sown.
