If Romney had run a hard hitting campaign on economic issues. Instead he had no message and allowed Obama to run define the campaign as “war on women”.

Actually the Republicans in 2012 could have run a winning campaign on the “end Obamacare” theme but since they nominated the architect of Obamacare as their standard bearer they had no credibility on healthcare.

I'm not sure Obamacare would have mattered, either way. While the public was angry about it, they'd mostly taken their anger out in the 2010 election. AND they hadn't experienced it first hand yet (as they have now, and will continue to do so)
