Rep. Jim Bridenstine, R-Tulsa, said he was denied access Tuesday to the Fort Sill facility housing unaccompanied minors who have illegally crossed the U.S. border.
Bridenstine made a visit to the Health and Human Services Department facility at the U.S. Army post in southwestern Oklahoma and was told he couldnt enter and should email an HHS official to make an appointment. He was told July 21 would be the earliest date he could visit.
Gov. Mary Fallin and Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Tulsa, visited the facility on June 20.
Bridenstine said, There is no excuse for denying a federal representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held.

He’ll get to see them right after the Fed is audited and we see the gold in Ft.Knox.
Savage covered medical workers down in Texas who were relieved of their phones and threatened with their jobs if they reported what they were seeing, kids with heads full of mega-lice on PUBLIC buses. Scabies, influenze, tuberculosis.
This is a criminal invasion!
He should write to his congressman and complain..
Sounds like they didn't want an ad hoc, unannounced visit. They need to "sanitize" the place before they have a visit by a Congressman.
He should be sure to wear a head to toe Hazmat suit with gloves and footies. Get all your shots as though you were going into the Amazon Rain Forest, because in a sense you are!

He'll get to see them right after the Lerner emails are recovered.
I don’t think he tried hard enough.
All he had to do was inform the jackboots, they have no authority to restrict him, and walk on by.
Then if they physically restrain him, we have a different stroy.
Another Congressman with old, outdated notions.
He thinks he and congress still matter.
Doesnt realize we are now a dictatorship run by a dope addled, half-black, racist tyrant
carrying a bushel of chips on his shoulder.
Posters on other threads here are criticizing Congressman Bridenstine for not blasting his way into the facility anyway.
BTW, he is my congressman and he is dam* near perfect. But because he let himself be blocked from entering, to some here he is a RINO or a weakling.
If his FR critics knew him, they would be afraid to insinuate either of those two charges.
The wimps.
Of course Boehner will do nothing cause he’s ok with it.
I heard him interviewed on Tom Sullivan’s radio show. Tom asked him something to the effect of “what are you going to do about it” and the usual stream of nothingburgerness came out.
The remedy for the lawlessness of the executive branch is either the power of the purse (defund things) or impeachment. The GOP is afraid to say the word much less do it.
IF they win the Senate and IF they develop the fortitude to impeach Obama, I truly shudder to think about the damage that will have been done by that point. Boehner, Cantor, McConnell, McCain and the rest will be remembered by history (if our nation survives) as the Congress that sat by with their thumbs in their nether regions while a tyrant set fire to the United States.
Capital Beltway University giant campus occupation is in sixth year.. authorities still refuse to act.
Occupiers refuse Congressman access to facility housing unaccompanied minor (illegal) immigrants. The Congressman was there to investigate reports of illicit human trafficking involving minors. Republican leadership flummoxed, likely to blame Tea Party.
The old-fashioned concept of an independent congressman is no longer operative in the USSA.
Remember, comrades: A police state is a SAFE state!
Try harder, Congressman. “Improvise, Adapt and Overcome” - maybe you’ve heard that somewhere?
If so, he will be back tomorrow and he’ll go right in.
If not, he’s another wimp.
I wonder if the 1200 are the over 16 year old male gang members and terrorists
