Actually, I hate the phrase, crony capitalism, because it implies that the system of government favoring some businesses over others is somehow related to real capitalism. Crapitalism doesnt fix the problem. I would have preferred a word that doesnt have any form of the word capitalism.

How about fascism? You're right what we have today is a diluted form of fascism. The Government picks the "winners" e.g. Solyndra, hands out loans and tax advantages to its political allies e.g. General Motors and powerful lobbying interests e.g. Archer, Daniel, Midlands get government subsidies. Meanwhile the "Demos" is kept quiet thru Bread and circuses ( EBT cards and electronic media)
