From Rand Paul Slams 'Fat Cats' With Hedge Fund in Top Donors - BL, by Dawn Kopecki, 2014 July 01
..... At the same time, the founders and employees of Mason Capital Management, a $13.6 billion New York hedge fund, have become leading contributors to Paul's political aims. The hedge fund has offices in London and San Francisco and offers clients offshore investments through a limited partnership in the Cayman Islands, among other strategies. ..... < snip > "We cannot be the party of fat cats, rich people, and Wall Street," the Kentucky Republican told the audience at the Freedom Summit in New Hampshire in April. ..... < snip >
Different first name, same "99%" scam. Both Pauls are phony libertarians, phony populists, phony conservatives.
Rand Paul started off pretty good when it comes to the company he keeps (I never trusted the guy though). However, he's gotten worse and worse as time goes on. I'm glad I didn't drink the "Rand Paul is our savior" kool-aid back when it was popular to do so.
Ironically this latest "unofficial" endorsement (playing footsie with Lamar) isn't making Lamar! look more conservative, its making Rand look LESS conservative.
>> Senator Alexanders main challenger state representative Joe Carr of Rutherford County has been seeking out Tea Party support but has been unable to get endorsements from icons within the movement. <<
No kidding. Cotton1706 makes a valid point that he's been opposing Lamar as well, but most of the self-proclaimed "Tea Party leaders" in this country won't give Carr the time of day, while they CONSTANTLY tout "Obama's conservative cousin" in Kansas. I have to question their priorities.
You’re still in Kentucky, right? And you think that “Rand Paul = McConnell = Cochran” ?? And you think he’s “been a liberal for over a year” ?? Whatever, dude. Don’t fall prey to the estalishment’s false left-right paradigm.
I agree that McConnell and Cochran are equally worthless to us. But you wrote that Paul = McConnell = Cochran. And I think you are terribly mistaken about that. I distrust about 97 % of the 535 currently elected US Representatives and Senators, but Rand is one of the twelve or so guys up there I trust.
