Once again, African Americans hurting their own race as Obama will cast a shadow on other African Americans due to his corruption and ineptitude. All these so called Black Leaders never help their own race, really sad.
The fear when John Kennedy ran for office was that he’d be ‘Catholic’ first - and ‘American’ second. Kennedy quickly put that fear to rest. He was an American President - and the country sighed the sigh of relief.
One of the hopes Americans had with Obama’s election was he would do the same - transcend race. Make race a ‘non-issue’ - in much the same way Kennedy made religion a ‘non-issue’. To follow in Kennedy’s careful footsteps. (Example: Kennedy had the wit NOT to put in a controversial Catholic AG who bristled at any possible slight to Catholics.)
Obama’s done the opposite... and you’re right - it’s sad. But the country will get past it - and someday a black person will be elected based on his ideas and beliefs and all this will be forgotten.
