Regarding the lunchtime visit to the car - the poor child had probably relieved himself, and in a hot car, that would stink to high heaven. The father didn’t notice a bad odor in the car during this visit? If not then, he definitely should have noted a bad odor when he got in the car at the end of the day and reported to the authorities then and there.

I don’t think a jury is going to buy his story at all.

RIP Cooper.

I'm not buying that, either.
Georgia is almost as hot as Florida.
Believe it or not, lots of us drive cars without working AC, and even if your AC works, it's impossible to attempt to drive without cooling the car first, by opening the windows or doors long enough for the heat to escape, or the AC to kick in.

Looks like mommy just admitted she conspired with daddy to murder the baby. And yes,often evil, murderous people are exactly that stupid. Which is why they are most often caught.

Did they have a large life insurance policy on the poor baby?

This case just reeks, and your very plain spoken description of just how much it physically reeks pretty much negates the “tragic accident” aspect.
