I’m fifty-eight years old and white. Don’t own a gun. This month I intend to apply for a permit(I live in NJ) getting a hand gun permit is next to impossible. I carry a knife most times, a four inch blade. I’m practiced at using it as a punching and stabbing weapon. I’ve had a martial arts training over the years. First sign of trouble and some clown is going to get punctured.

First sign of trouble and some clown is going to get punctured. Yep, go for it. Problem is, the cowards attack from behind or the side on victims. I see so many people walking around with earphones in their ears or looking at handheld devices; prime victim material. Some of us, like you, are always wary of your surroundings. Not so easy to sucker-punch someone who is attentive.

I studied one similar to this for years. Studying martial arts is very useful
for honing street fighting skills. I've gone through five major arts and have
never used one as a primary. Street fighter first and you'll always win.
The knife fighting chart below shows most of the targets that will allow you to get away.
Real knife fighting is an explosive and extremely violent battle for survival.
Practice is essential.
