When someone puts an initial on ballot that I am OK to vote, I really have no idea what it means. The barcode sticker on your ballot is likely to be benign, but if you have concerns you should ask your election commission.
I’ve been told that the barcode sticker is not ‘benign’, but contains information that can be used to identify you. I first noticed this during the Bev Perdue administration. I can’t say exactly when it started, but it hasn’t been that way for too many years. Anyway, no hard feelings.
