McDaniel has to be weighing:

Would I be able to raise the money for the cost of checking the rolls?
Would I win in a re-vote?
How would Senate in D.C. accept me if I did?

.. and probably many more problems that might arise.

I doubt he gives a damn what the DC senate jerks think. They’ve been against him from the start

I think he has already made that decision.
If the MS GOP group denies an audit, they will be voted out and replaced.

McDaniel may not win this fight, but this fight will expose corrupt
GOP officials in MS. And that will lead to them being replaced or
at the very least exposed for all to see.
